I'm sorry, but these were nasty. I know how to make a roux, etc., and the sauce seemed promising when I put it in the oven. But when the dish came out, the sauce got "funny" after only a couple minutes. I refrigerated leftovers and heated some up for lunch today and -- disgusting, couldn't even eat it. The sauce itself needs to have cheese melted in to give it a better consistency; I will not be making these again. Sorry.

These were okay.... I fixed them for super tonight and my husband and I both ate them but they weren't really anything we could brag about.... Maybe trying some of the others advice and adding seasoning to the chicken mixture and the sauce would make a difference next time.... Thanks for sharing though....

My family was timid...we were afraid to add the entire can of chili's, so we didn't. We were wrong! They really aren't too much and would have even of been better if we had. We really liked this recipe. I added a little mexican five blend cheese on the top because my husband believes everything has to has a yellow cheese in it!! This was very good, I will be making this on a regular basis, we really liked it! Thank you Deb, and this recipe leaves itself open to all kind of personal touches which also makes it great! :D

Oh My Goodness! AMAZING! I've made this recipe many times and each time my guests rave about it! Thank you so much for posting. The amazing thing about your recipe is that you have to make your own "cream of chicken soup" to add to the sour cream sauce. LOVE IT!

We love these enchiladas!! In a pinch, I opted for rotisserie chicken breast and it worked out well without sacrificing the overall taste of the recipe. Definitely, a keeper! I shared my photo as well.

These are FANTASTIC!! i made beef instead of chicken and I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream turned out soooo tasty. I also didn't have any green chiles but I did have a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles which is what I will use from now on as it really added to the dish. These beat any enchiladas you get in any restaurant and I will definitely be bookmarking this one!! I can't wait to try it with the chicken. Thanks so much for posting!!

I joined Food.com just so I could leave a comment about HOW AMAZING these are! I am one of those who tweaks things!....But I only did a few minor changes like cooking the chicken in the crockpot and buy putting the green chilies in with the chicken. My husband thought they were so amazing he asked if I could leave a comment.....if that doesnt tell you something than I dont know what does!

Just made these for the 2nd time. These were quite good. I added salt and pepper to the chicken before cooking. I also sauteed some green pepper with the chicken and onion mixture. I I made the sauce as directed, but I added a can of drained Rotel tomatoes. My husband would have picked out the cooked tomatoes and a lot of kids may do the same, but the tomatoes added a little more taste. I only got 6 enchiladas from the mix.

I lived in Dallas for 5 years and loved going to the Blue Goose Cantina for their Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. Now I've got a recipe that allows me to enjoy them here in Philly! They came out perfect!

Lovely Jubbly! We subbed some pickled jalapenos as we can't get canned in Australia. But apart from that cooked as described. Yum - thanks Deb!

Delicious. I followed the recipe exactly the first time. The second time I added a can of rinsed & drained black beans and a can of slightly drained Rotel to the chicken. We enjoyed it even more. THANKS for such an enjoyable meal.

It was a great meal. I added a little Tabasco sauce to give it a little heat the second time I made it. My boyfriend couldn't stop eating it. I've made it twice in the past 3 weeks.
