Make and share this Sangria Con Tequila recipe from Food.com.
- boil the sugar and water together in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves and the liquid is clear. set the syrup aside to cool.
- in a large pitcher or punch bowl, mix together the sugar syrup, wine, juices, and liquors.
- just before serving time, stir in the sparkling water. add the fruit slices and a lot of ice either to the sangria or to the individual glasses or cups.
- serve chilled.
Very excited to find this recipe! I went to Mexico in the 80's for my Senior Trip. That is where I was introduced to real Mexican Sangrias made with Red Wine, and Tequila. I have been looking for a recipe like this ever since. Thanks for sharing!!
I'm so happy to have found this recipe! I was looking for a sangria recipe that was not run-of-the-mill! This fits the bill!
