I made this exactly as the recipe called for with the exception of not adding the cornstarch. I added the seasoning to beef stir fry and veggies and let it sit in the refrigerator in a zip lock baggie for about 5 hours before cooking it and it was delicious. I will never waste money on foil packets again. This is defiantly the only fajita seasoning I will be using. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe with us Kathy.

I've made this twice for skirt steak and love it. I use it with the recipe My Very Best Steak or Chicken Fajitas and it turns out tender with a lot of flavor. Thanks Kathy! Roxygirl

This was OK. My husband is loyal to Lawry's Fajita Seasoning mix, and he says this wasn't as good. Sooo I guess we won't be making this again.

The perfect fajita mix - I'll be making this one in bulk to have it on hand. I didn't have the onion powder the first time and I didn't taste much of a difference with/without it.

I made this for a family party last week and it was a HIT!!! These are better than any other fajita recipe I have tried and almost everyone has all the ingredients in the cupbord. Woo hoo! Thanks so much for sharing this FABULOUS recipe!

So much better than store bought mixes! The ingredients are always ones I have on hand and so simple and quick to make. I placed chicken breast in a ziploc bag, sprinkled the fajita mix on the chicken, tossed the chicken and mix together, than refrigerated for a couple hours. Grilled the chicken and wrapped in flour tortillas with all the yummy sides!

Thanks for sharing this brilliant spice mix recipe, Kathy. I used it to season some chicken strips to go in chicken wraps for dinner. It's got a great flavour and is so simple to make. I din't use the garlic powder, because I prefer adding fresh garlic and I also doubled the amount of cumin as I just love it. For the chili powder I used 50% hot chili powder and 50% normal which worked out great for my liking. I'll be making this up a lot in future to always have on hand.

I think this is a wonderful & inexpensive mix. Ive been using it for almost a year now and kept forgetting to review it. I passed it on to my mom and she used it on EVERYTHING, lol! Great recipe!

I thought this was a wonderful mix! Husband and kids like it too, so I'll be making this rather than buying the mix at the store. I just made one batch - mixed it with some oil - tossed my meat (beef) and put in some green peppers and onion. YUMMY! I'll definitely make this again and again and pass it along to all my friends! Thanks for posting this!

Used this last night on some shrimp/chicken fajitas and it was good! There wasn't any instructions on how much to use on how much meat but I used 3/4 of this recipe on 1 lb of shrimp and 1 thinly sliced chicken breast. Overkill? I don't know but let me tell you what- That was the best and most melt in your mouth chicken I have ever had. Even better than the shrimp and I thought those words would never come out of my mouth! BF Dugan says grrr! arrrrg! In greasy car mechanic language that means, "That was a lovely and splendid dinner, Dear!"

This is an good recipe, but I thought the flavor was a little on the bitter side. I guess I was looking for a less hot, more flavorful recipe. That said, I think with a little alteration I will really like this. Those little packets of fajita seasoning from the store are way overpriced! Thanks

It was good enough for me to make a second time, but not my favorite. Then again, I only tried it on steak fajitas. If you like the taste of chili powder, then you will like it because that seems to be where most of the flavor comes from. My husband and I prefer a tangier, less bitter flavor.

Very tasty! I mixed this up quickly and rubbed some on chicken breasts, let them rest for about 20 minutes then drizzled them with olive oil and put them on the George grill. Mmm. I'd grilled peppers and sliced onion first, so things smelled great in the kitchen. It was spicy but not hot (just maybe too hot to share with cats). I'm definitely making this again.

I doubled this recipe and added it to my growing collection of recipezaar homemade mixes. At the bulk food staore I was able to purachase the exact amount of each spice and that turned out to be a real money saver. I used a smokey paprika instead of regular. I look forward to using this mix real soon, thanks for posting!

I have used this seasoning on beef and chicken - it's delicous! Tastes just like at a restaurant. I usually double or triple the recipe to be sure we always have some on hand. Even my picky husband and son loved it! Thanks for the great recipe
